I am looking for the Sister of Jeremiah E. Dain, and her daughters. This is a needle in a haystack search, I have posted to Oneida county as well. Jeremiah's Obit indicates that he was born in Orinskany Falls (Oneida Cty) on June 12 1829. However his tombstone indicates he was born July 24 1834, and the 1850 census indicates he was probably born around 1831. He had three sisters, they were; Maria born about 1836, Martha born about 1839, and Sally (or Susan) born about 1832. Their mother’s maiden name was Desire Crumb who was married to Abel Dain. Abel died between 1840 and May 1845. Desire remarried in May 1845 to Richard Burlingame. Jeremiah also had a brother named Charles Dain, born prior to 1830. Charles was married to Elizabeth Howe. Jeremiah's died on December 28 1915 in Casper Wyoming, and his Obit indicates he was survived by his sister and four neices living in the town where he was born. Some of this family's history extends into Chenango and Ostego Counties.
I have gone about as far as I can with this research and need the additional information about Jeremiah that can only be provided by the indicated Sister and nieces.
My relationship is that Jeremiah is my great-great grandfather.

"Am searching for information on the parents of Obediah Parker, born 1827 in Otsego County, N.Y. One site lists them as Benjamin F. Parker and Mary Davis. The LDS site has his parents listed as George and Lena Parker.

I am looking for descendants of John Davison, b. Nov. 18, 1758, d. Sept. 10, 1834, a pensioner of the Revolutionary War. He is buried in the Red House Road Cemetery near Cooperstown. His marble stone is fast deteriorating and becoming unreadable, and has also suffered some damage by vandals. I am interested in replacing the stone and would like to invite any interested descendants to participate in this project. John was married to Elizabeth Fitchett, and they had 13 children. Elizabeth, as a child, was present at the Wyoming Valley Massacre in Pennsylvania, and escaped from Indian captivity in that raid. Their children were named Maria, Lana, Eleanor, Isaac, Fanny*, Peter, Catherine, Harriet, Dr. John, Betsy, Jesse, Nancy and Charlotte. Some surnames in that generation were Crandall, Walter, Stocker, Jones*, Garret, Symonds, Ely, Moak. John and Elizabeth moved to Cherry Vally in 1832; after John's death, Elizabeth moved to Theresa where she resided with her son, Dr. John. Fanny, and Jones, are in my line back to John, and I assume there may be many more people who can trace back to John and Elizabeth. Thanks.

I am seeking information about the DeAngelo branch of my family history. My paternal grandparents were Antonio Latteri and Rosalia DeAngelo. They came to NY from San Fratello in Sicily(Italy), in 1902 and 1903 respectively. They were married in New York City in 1905 and later moved to the central NY community of Oneida. In the early 1920's My Great Grandmother Rosa (Mary Rose) DeAngelo and her sons moved to Oneonta where they did well in the fields of Law, Education and Construction. I would be most interested in learning more about the DeAngelo's in the Oneonta area 1920 to present. It would be great to make a connection with a family member in Otsego County. My name is Tony Latteri. I am a retired Social Studies Teacher. I and my wife Susan moved from the Oneida area to Southeastern AZ in 1980.
In the 1790 census there was a John Dickens but I haven't been able to find out nothing more on him or his family. Do you have any information on them?
Adaline Dixon b. about 1833, may have been born in Exeter, Otsego, NY, married George Wilcox in 1855, Adaline died 1864. At home in Exeter, Otsego Co.,NY in 1850. Two sons, Silas A Wilcox and Simon M. Wilcox. Both sons born in Virginia A picture of Silas and Simon taken in Schylerville, NY, about 1865/66. George served in Civil War after Adeline's death. She thought to be a Quaker. They also lived in Barry Co. Michigan just prior to Adaline's death.
Emeline Dixon, also born 1833, (possibly twins), Exeter, Otsego, NY
(?), married D. C. Kenyon, date not known. Also lived in Barry Co. (?) Michigan. Emeline had a daughter, Nellie.
Wilcox family may have lived in Exeter Co., NY or Easton, Washington Co. NY or both.
Trying to learn if any of the above information is correct and more leads to follow. Parents of Adaline and Emeline, siblings, etc?
